Updates & Support

You can use this form or Basecamp account to request changes or updates to existing (out of initial development/design phase) websites or advertising campaigns. If you are requesting updates be made to multiple websites, please fill out one form per site.

Update(s) will be made within 12-24 business hours. Any questions by a designer for clarification or details will delay the update process. This service is only available for websites designed by and hosted at Small Bee.

  • What constitutes an update?

    Good question! An update is any modification, edit or creation of the content on your website. This is most frequently the text on your website pages, but it may also be the addition of or modification of images or graphics as well. For all current packages, updates are limited to 1 hour per month. The average update requires about 15 minutes to complete. Please contact us with any questions.

  • Do the updates include graphic design and/or code development?

    That depends. Our team can handle virtually any request you throw at them, but some require a higher level of skill or amount of time that could go beyond your our standard maintenance allotment. Generally, updates are reserved for relatively simple tasks, but we are more than happy to assist you with more complicated projects. Contact us so we can discuss options!

  • Can I call you with an update?

    You are always welcome to call us with any questions you might have, however, for any updates beyond emergencies, serious technical issues or very minor updates, we prefer you email us. That creates a digital trail that helps keep us accountable and, just as importantly, helps us all remember what you wanted. We get a lot of requests and we want to make sure yours gets handled appropriately.

  • Can I schedule an update for a specific time or date?

    Yes, of course. For clients wanting to add a new blog post, we can schedule those as far in advance as requested. For other types of updates, we prefer at least 24-hour notice. Additionally, updates should be scheduled during normal business hours (9:30am – 5pm CST). Accommodations can be made for afterhours or holiday requests, but there may be an additional charge depending upon the request and the time of day.

  • When are your hours for maintenance and support?

    Updates are done during regular business hours, 9:30am – 5pm CST, Monday through Friday. However, we can accommodate after hours requests for emergencies or items scheduled in advance, but they may incur an additional charge. We do not normally provide afterhours support.

  • How much time is included in each website update?

    In general, most website updates take around 15 minutes. Any update(s) requiring more than your plan's monthly maintenance time of 1 hour will incur an additional charge. 

  • How will I know if my updates will take more than the included maintenance time?

    The vast majority of times, our customers know when they have a time-heavy maintenance request. When in doubt about time, feel free to contact us before sending the request and we will go over options with you. For quick reference, here are some examples of updates that could incur an additional charge:

    • Extensive modifications to multiple website pages
    • Manipulation of or changes to a large number of images
    • Creation of custom graphics
    • Installation or development of new code or integrated technology

  • What if my updates require more time than is provided in a month?

    For standard updates to your website, we are happy to handle them within the terms of your maintenance plan. For anything more sizable, we can add a one-time charge to your account or upgrade you to a bigger maintenance plan. Contact us for more information.

  • Are there limits to what's provided in a website update?

    Complex changes to code, some graphic design services and other custom requests may go beyond what is considered a standard website maintenance update, but we normally handle almost anything you request at no additional charge. You are welcome to contact us with any questions prior to sending your request.


    Also, new web pages can be added, however, additional charges may apply and at package renewal you will be billed at a higher page package plan (if applicable).
