After you complete our general questionnaire/onboarding form and have all necessary content available for us (logo, images, text copy), we are able to design a brand-new site within 2-4 weeks, on average. Our processes are super streamlined and high tech to be as unobtrusive as possible to your daily business routine while allowing us to work our magic in a few short weeks!

Discovery
After signup, you’ll receive our onboarding form that gives us an indication of the overall project scope and provides us with direction. At this onboarding step you’ll inform us about what you're looking for in a website and gather any important content that you’re looking to feature on the website. Time allocation: 1-5 days

Package Selection
We’ll find the pricing package that best fits with the project scope and goals of your new website, and our team will wait for your authorization to proceed. Time allocation: 1 day

Strategy
Once the project and pricing package is established, we’ll start by mapping out how customers will navigate your website. Our aim is not only to present the information simply, but also increase your page traffic, inquiry results and sales. Strategy is paramount to your online success. Time allocation: 1-5 days

Creative Design
Following the information from the discovery stage, we will invest time in designing a quality concept for you. We offer multiple design edits in this stage as a creative guarantee. We never charge extra for initial design changes! Time allocation: 3-5 days

Development
Once the design concept is approved, we will develop the complete website and all associated pages, including interactive data and special apps. We will provide you with a link to review the site's functionality once the website is complete! Time allocation: 5-15 days

Launch Website
When your site is approved and tested, we will conduct a thorough launch process. Domain name configuration and hosting is setup, your payment plan begins and your new website goes live online! Time allocation: 1 day

Support
Your website package includes monthly updates! This will be all-inclusive to make tweaks to content, add photos and make any other minor changes throughout the site with the allocated maintenance time per month.

Small Bee is known for our affordable, all-inclusive FLAT RATE website design services. Our package cost includes a one-time setup charge and a monthly fee which is inclusive of the design, hosting, maintenance, and website updates throughout the term of service.

Our small bee package is $1,800 down and $299/mo and includes the custom design and setup of a high-quality 20-page website that is adaptive/responsive to all screen sizes (computer, tablet, mobile phone). Larger packages, one-time payment options (no monthly fee) and custom packages are also available.

On occasion we do have a business that may request custom development work for unique features, calculators, or other third-party add-ons. In these situations there may be an additional charge.

Every website includes the most recent features: Google Analytics tracking, Google Core Web Vitals enhancements, on-page SEO, SSL security (https), social media integration, a robust photo portfolio, blog capabilities, traffic driving click-to-call and click-to-map links, pop-up ad capabilities, location-specific targeting and website backup service... just to name a few. We know what small businesses need in a website and we include it as a STANDARD.

As a Client, you also get login access to make as many changes to the website as you're comfortable with -- otherwise a website specialist is always available to make changes for you (1-hour maintenance included every month for our monthly package subscribers)! Most service inquiries are responded to and completed super fast.

Small Bee is here to serve you, and if you prefer to pay-in-full for service and pay for annual hosting and web updates as needed, we can absolutely provide a custom quote for that!

Website technology evolves at a rapid pace and there are new compliance and SEO standards that are released often and quickly make most websites outdated or even in violation of new compliance laws. We have found that most customers benefit from our subscription packages that automatically include the latest compliance updates to keep their website performing it’s best in search engines, as well as reducing the possibility of outdated content or compliance issues. Our team actively keeps your site up to date, gives you a future-proof online presence and is on constant standby for any update requests or site changes that you may need.

Did you know?
The normal lifespan of a website before it becomes outdated is just 2-3 years! Granted, in sleepy industries where things don’t change much, or in cases where you update your site often, the age span intervals can be extended.

Once you sign-up, we’ll send over a general onboarding form that gathers your information, thoughts, and requests. We’ll email over a link for you to upload your logo, favorite images, and documents with the text copy for each web page. Our team uses all provided information to build out a well-structured and visually appealing website full of call-to-actions to help convert site visitors to customers. It’s about 2-4 weeks to complete a new website when following our suggested timeline.

If you cancel prior to your agreement time we have a cancellation fee of 50% of your remaining balance and your site will be scheduled for online removal within 2 weeks. Website files cannot be transferred out until a 24-month term (or your specific contract term) has been paid in full.

Note: If you finish your 24-month contract and renew for another 24-month contract, we give you a complete website facelift or redesign for free!

If you renew your contract, you will receive a FREE website facelift or redesign, you pick! Whether you want a completely new design or to refresh and update your existing site, it’s included and there is no additional setup fee!

If you'd like to transition into a hosting-only plan with pay-as-needed updates we will get you a quote for that. Please note, if you decide to transfer from a hosting-only plan back into a monthly plan, another setup fee may be required.

If you decide to cancel, you can migrate your files to a new host of your choice but will lose all technical support and access to the unique features on Small Bee's platform. We are unfortunately unable to assist with the setup or maintenance of these files with another hosting provider.

We’re not an email provider, but in the instance that you don’t already have business email (or are looking for new service), we can either handle the email setup with a number of great providers, or simply refer you to recommended email providers. We even have HIPPA email providers for our medical and legal clients that need that special security.

We recommend that our clients maintain control of their own assets, and domain name(s) are a BIG part of your business. So, all we’d like for you to focus on is managing and renewing your domain every year, as well as your email commitments if you decide to self-manage. Our team takes care of the website hosting and SSL (https)!

Currently, we only allow for hosting on our own dedicated servers that are optimized to provide the best service, page loading speeds and security for our websites. Our team can only service and maintain websites on our servers.

If you decide to cancel service after your 24-month term, we can provide a zip file of your website upon written request, but we cannot assist with the transfer or setup of these files. There is no guarantee the functioning of these files on other servers.

For multiple reasons, we do not. Most existing sites brought to us for repair are built on older or less advanced platforms, have multiple plug-ins or third-party widgets that are creating design/security issues, or just have too many variables for us to guarantee a proper fix. It’s a service we don’t needlessly bill for knowing that most of these websites will need a complete rebuild in the near future. We typically recommend a re-design, especially if your website is 2-3+ years old (the average lifespan of a website).

This allows our websites to load much faster than a typical WordPress site, and it also eliminates security risks and vulnerabilities. You will never have a design feature such as a photo gallery, business review carousel or other website section disappear or stop working since everything is built under one roof. We don’t rely on unknown plug-in creators or their ability to maintain the function and security of their plug-ins, and we won’t install these risks on your site.
